I had a great experience attending the AFCEA Lexington-Concord New Horizons conference in Boston, MA learning about our Air Force’s National Security Ecosystem and posture with fantastic speakers and panels from Government, industry partners, and academia focusing on preparing our US Air Force to be leaders in innovation. Some of the keynote speakers were Mr. Andrew Hunter, SAF/AQ, Maj Gen Anthony Genatempo, Mr. Steve Wert, and Mr. Perry Hill.I had a great time networking with colleagues and new partners. Great job to the AFCEA Lexington-Concord chapter for throwing a record breaking attended New Horizons and for everything you do for the hashtag#GovCon and hashtag#DoD community!

Our AFCEA Central Florida fundraisers support the Cyber Outreach Program, led by Dan Holland, which hosts incredible events like today's CyberLaunch Competition and Conference. This event supports Hillsborough County Public Schools cybersecurity initiatives, and brought together 400 students, volunteers, teachers, and companies. We had a packed house at our AFCEA Central Florida August Luncheon with a phenomenal leader, Dr. Jim "Gumbo" Coughlin, CKM, BS, MA, MMAS, Ed. D. He discussed leadership; talent management, with his team of 490 contractors supporting the mission; the importance of the partnership between contractors, government, and military; and the hashtag#JSOC IT/Technology priorities. He was extremely engaging and he truly is one of the best public speakers! I’m grateful that our military has leaders like him, with a passion for taking care of the warfighter and the workforce supporting the warfighter.
